Can a Disney Parade Be Anything Like Heaven?

When we arrived at Magic Kingdom last Tuesday, we were greeted with a lovely parade of Disney friends.  There was fun music and dancing in the streets.  It was an amazing celebration and we felt as though they had rolled out the red carpet just for us!

Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy waved to us, blew kisses and got down off their floats to hug and dance with anyone who wanted to join in! So K jumped right in there and danced!

It was quite the party.  In a weird way, it reminded me of what heaven must look like each time a saint is welcomed home.  Can you picture that?  Instead of the Disney gang welcoming the new residents, it would be Jesus, Moses, Abraham, Peter, Paul, David, and John.  The parade winds through the streets of gold, through heaven's gates, right up to the throne of God!  The angels sing, the saints dance, and God welcomes us home.  It is a fantastic celebration!

The joy experienced at Disney World will far be surpassed by the perfection of heaven's welcome.  But it was sure fun to get a glimpse of the continual party in heaven each time a believer is called home.

"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"
Revelation 5:13
